Trauma-Aware Teaching: The Recording

How to Approach the Classroom During Challenging Times

Although AFAC had to cancel our in-person Adjunct Conference for this year, here’s the recording of our one-hour session.
Session Title: Trauma-Aware Teaching

Session Description: Trauma is not new, but in light of the COVID-19 crisis, many are realizing the widespread nature of trauma and its countless impacts. This interactive session is focused on introducing key trauma concepts to higher educators, including what trauma is (and isn’t), its prevalence, and how it impacts both teaching and learning. You’ll leave this session having moved forward on your path to becoming a trauma-aware educator, better prepared to support yourselves, your students, and your colleagues.
